Cake.ffm x WerkMe069 laden dich ein! – It's getting tasty at our Werk that cake Showcase ball und als icing on top gibt es eine kleine Einleitung in die Ballroom Kultur. Are you ready to eat this cake? See you there (yall better leave no crumbs!!) WerkMe069 ist ein Kollektiv gegründet von Personen der Frankfurter Ballroom Community. Die Ziele des Kollektivs sind die Förderung von queeren BIPoC und Trans-Personen in einer weiß- und cis-dominierten queeren Szene und die Schaffung eines Safer Spaces. WerkMe069 organisiert Training Sessions und Events in Frankfurt. Wir feiern Ballroom als Kultur, seine Geschichte und Alle, die vor uns kamen. Ballroom Culture hat ihren Ursprung in der Schwarzen und latinx, Queer- und Trans-Community von New York und reicht mit seinen kreativen Einflüssen schon seit Jahrzehnten in den Mainstream. Auf den Balls messen sich die Teilnehmenden auf dem Runway in den Bereichen Beauty, Fashion und Performance (Voguing), um mit den Grand Prize für sich und ihr House zu gewinnen.

Sweet Latenight Dinner! Nach dem Werk That Cake Showcase Ball by WerkMe069 feiert CAKE die Liebe, die Vielfalt und die Clubkultur im sicheren Hafen, dem Tanzhaus West, auf drei Floors. 

CAKE x TECHNO TANZHAUS

Blasha & Allatt, aus Manchester und Mitbegründerinnen sowie Residents der berüchtigten Meat Free-Partys, die als eine der wildesten Techno-Raves im Vereinigten Königreich gefeiert werden. Hinter den Decks haben sie eine fast schon symbiotische Energie. Mit fließenden Übergängen zwischen Techno, House und wieder zurück, sind ihre Sets eine unaufhaltsame Kraft. Das Duo ist nie zufrieden mit dem Status quo und sucht ständig nach neuen Wegen, ihre Musik und die Szene weiterzuentwickeln. 2022 starteten sie Frixxxion – einen neuen, inklusiven Raum für queeres Techno-Raving im Herzen des Manchester Undergrounds, der sowohl von Locals als auch von Gästen mit offenen Armen aufgenommen wurde. Aus der Mitte der Gesellschaft kommt Francesco Framor zum Support, was eine untertriebene Ankündigung ist. Francesco ist ein extrem guter DJ mit großem Gespür für die Crowd. CAKE freut sich auf eines seiner seltenen Techno Sets in den heiligen Hallen. Mach die Augen zu und begebe dich auf die Reise durch groovige Kicks, Breaks und sexy tunes. Julia Gun ist für ihre Mischung aus treibenden Grooves und Trance Elementen bekannt und schlägt somit die Brücke zwischen funky und tool.

DORA x CLUB BIZARRE 

CLUB bizarre ist eine queere Eventreihe, die sich der LGBTQIA+ Clubkultur und Drag-Kunst widmet. Wir schaffen inklusive, sicherere Räume, in denen Identität und Ausdruck im Mittelpunkt stehen. Frühere Line-ups präsentierten Sedef Adasi, Roi Perez, DJ Gigola, BASHKKA, Angel D’lite, Jennifer Cardini und ND Baumecker. CLUB bizarre ist mehr als nur eine Party – es ist eine Plattform für queere Sichtbarkeit, Gemeinschaft und aufstrebendes Talent. Wir stehen für Vielfalt, Geschlechtergerechtigkeit und die Freude, unapologetisch wir selbst zu sein. Byron Yeates ist DJ, leitet das Plattenlabel Radiant Records und ist Mitbegründer von La Noche.  Yeates' Sets sind voller Energie, spielen mit Erwartungen, hauen rein und steigen oft in höhere Sphären auf. Sie tragen eine Haltung, die gleichzeitig unglaublich verspielt und theatralisch ernst sein kann – eine Dualität, die die queere Tradition der elektronischen Tanzmusik widerspiegelt, in die Yeates sich einordnet. Die feminine Stimme wird in dröhnenden progressiven Trance gemischt, die wiederum auf einen zurückblickenden House-Track trifft oder in den Downtempo-Bereich abtaucht. Was in Yeates’ Auswahl konstant bleibt, ist eine betörende Tiefe, feine und zarte Melodien sowie eine Durchsetzungskraft, die nie zulässt, dass die Überraschung von der Tanzfläche weicht. Seit November 2019 hat Yeates’ Label Radiant Love eine Reihe von trance-orientierten EPs von Künstlerinnen aus der Region und dem Ausland veröffentlicht. Das Katalog ist voll von tanzbaren Tracks, die auch einen intensiven Hörerinnen belohnen – der RL-Sound ist reich an unerwarteten Klangfarben und Texturen, cleveren Melodielinien und Rhythmen, die weit vom 4/4-Takt abweichen. Ein Ausschnitt davon ist in den jährlichen International Women's Day Compilations des Labels zu hören, die Tracks aus der DJ- und Produzent*innen-Community zusammenstellt und die Erlöse an wohltätige Organisationen in Berlin spendet. Zum CLUB bizarre Revival, denn es ist eins, bringt die Crew ihre Residents und Locals Nät Works, Phillip Kluge und Tiffany & Go mit. Und als Cherry on Top freut euch auf die Performances by: Daniella Dikket & Ember Remember auf dem Dora Floor.

CAKE sammelt in dieser Nacht Spenden für das “LSKH Queeres Kulturhaus – Frankfurt”. Menschen, die auf der Gästeliste stehen, erhalten Einlass gegen Spende. Bei allen anderen, die ein Ticket gekauft haben oder jene, die Abendkasse zahlen, ist die Spende auf freiwilliger Basis.

Cake.ffm und WerkMe069 invite you: It's getting tasty at our Werk that cake Showcase ball und als icing on top there is a short introduction to ballroom culture. Are you ready to eat this cake? Am 28.05!! See you there (yall better leave no crumbs!!) WerkMe069 is a collective created by people from the ballroom community in Frankfurt. Its purpose is to uplift queer people of color and trans people who are still a marginalized group in the predominately cis white queer scene and to provide them with a safer space. WerkMe069 organizes practices and events in frankfurt honouring ballroom as a culture, its history and the people who came before. Ballroom culture originates from the black and latinx, queer and trans community of New York and has been influencing mainstream culture for decades. At the balls, contestants battle on the runway in categories of beauty, fashion and performance (voguing) to bring home the grand prize for themselves and their house.

CAKE x TECHNO TANZHAUS

Blasha & Allatt, from Manchester, are the co-founders and residents of the infamous Meat Free parties, celebrated as some of the wildest techno raves in the UK. Behind the decks, they share an almost symbiotic energy. With seamless transitions between techno, house, and back again, their sets are an unstoppable force. Never content with the status quo, the duo are constantly seeking new ways to push their music and evolve the scene. In 2022, they launched Frixxxion – a new inclusive space for queer techno raving in the heart of Manchester’s underground, warmly embraced by both locals and visitors alike. Coming from “Mitte der Gesellschaft” Francesco Framor joins as support – which is actually an understatement. Francesco is an exceptionally skilled DJ with a sharp instinct for reading the crowd. CAKE is excited to welcome one of his rare techno sets in the sacred halls. Close your eyes and embark on the journey through groovy kicks, breaks and sexy tunes. Julia Gun is known for her mixture of pounding grooves and trance elements and thus builds the bridge between funky and tool.

DORA x CLUB BIZARRE 

CLUB bizarre is a queer event series dedicated to LGBTQIA+ club culture and drag artistry. CLUB bizarre creates inclusive, safer spaces where identity and expression take center stage. Past line-ups have featured Sedef Adasi, Roi Perez, DJ Gigola, BASHKKA, Angel D’lite, Jennifer Cardini and ND Baumecker. CLUB bizarre is more than a party – it’s a platform for queer visibility, community, and emerging talent. CLUB bizarre stands for diversity, gender fairness, and the joy of being unapologetically ourselves. Byron Yeates is a DJ, runs the record label Radiant Records, and is a co-founder of La Noche. Yeates' sets are full of energy, play with expectations, hit hard, and often ascend to higher realms. They carry an attitude that can be both incredibly playful and theatrically serious – a duality that reflects the queer tradition of electronic dance music into which Yeates places himself. The feminine vocal is blended into thumping progressive trance, which in turn meets a throwback house track or dives into the downtempo range. What remains consistent in Yeates' selection is a captivating depth, delicate melodies, and a forcefulness that never lets the surprise leave the dancefloor. Since November 2019, Yeates' label Radiant Love has released a series of trance-oriented EPs by artists from both the local scene and abroad. The catalog is full of dancefloor-ready tracks that also reward an attentive listener – the RL sound is rich in unexpected timbres and textures, clever melodic lines, and rhythms that veer far from the 4/4 beat. A sample of this can be heard in the label's annual International Women's Day compilations, which feature tracks from the DJ and producer community and donate the proceeds to charities around Berlin.For the CLUB bizarre Revival — because that’s exactly what it is — the crew is bringing along their residents and local heroes: Nät Works, Phillip Kluge, and Tiffany & Go. And as the cherry on top, get ready for performances by Daniella Dikket & Ember Remember on the Dora Floor.

On this night, CAKE is collecting donations for the “LSKH Queeres Kulturhaus - Frankfurt”. Guests on the guest list will be admitted in exchange for a donation. For everyone else — whether you’ve bought a ticket in advance or are paying at the door — donations are voluntary.
